Khimji Ramdas organizes its annual Ramadan blood Donation Campaign In association with MoH

As part of its continuous commitment to corporate social responsibility, the Khimji Ramdas Group (KR) recently conducted its annual Ramadan blood donation at the Crowne Plaza Muscat Hotel under the supervision of the Blood Donation Services Department, Ministry of Health (MoH).

With blood banks facing shortages every year during the holy month of Ramadan, the MoH recently renewed its call for people to come forward voluntarily and donate blood. The KR Group’s track record of organizing blood donation spans over four decades.

This year, KR’s blood donation campaign witnessed the participation of 227 employees along with their loved ones, who eagerly contributed towards this noble cause. The blood donation event was conducted in compliance with guidelines issued by the central blood bank. All details related to immunizations, travel history, and medical screening were documented before the blood donation process.

Praising the efforts of Dr. Zainab Al-Araimi, Director of Blood Banks Services, and her team for their dedicated efforts, alongside the KR clinic and administration team that organized the blood donation, Anil Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas Group said: “KR has always been at the forefront of supporting communities and raising awareness about causes that matter. On behalf of the Group, I convey my appreciation and thanks to all those who came together to organize and take part in this year’s blood donation.”

He further added: “We are proud of our employees and their families for coming together to donate blood during Ramadan, the month of sharing. As a Group, we remain dedicated to providing a platform for our employees to engage in such causes as we recognize the significance of such initiatives towards the betterment of society.”

Dr. Zainab Al-Araimi, Director of Blood Banks Services stated: “Adequate supply of blood at the blood bank is critical to saving lives. Especially during the month of Ramadan, there is a shortage of blood supply, and the need to continue to donate blood becomes even more vital for patients in need. We welcome the KR Group’s efforts in contributing to this noteworthy cause.”

Khimji Ramdas takes pride in being a socially responsible business conglomerate and has always been at the forefront of humanitarian efforts.
